The "Guyana No. 6" from Uitvlugt Distillery, bottled by The Colours of Rum, is a limited edition rum with just 262 bottles available. Distilled in 1997 from molasses using a Double Wooden Pot Still and aged for 24 years, this cask strength rum boasts an ABV of 53.4%. "Got this sample for free from RumX. This rum comes from the since year 2000 closed Uitvlugt Distillery and the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still which today is moved to the Diamond Distillery, the only distillery in Guyana nowadays. It was distilled in 1997 and was first tropical aged for 2 years in an former bourbon barrel whereafter it was continentally aged for 21 years in an former cognac barrel. Finally it was bottled in 2022 in 262 bottles at 53,4%. Overall an elegant and round rum where the taste of grapefruit dominates." - 8.1/10

"Feels significantly thinner and more flat vs TRC. Alcohol is much more present in this bottling at the same time though." - 8.0/10
