"Very pleasant aromatics. Roasty, leather and some cotton candy. Fruit is rather restrained. On the palate creamy, spicy and a heavy sweetness. On the palate then rather dry and a very slight bitterness. I like it very much!"
"Got this sample for free from RumX. Itâs a column distilled rum distilled in 1998 at the Bellevue estate in Bass-Terre that produces Rhum Damoiseau and therefore not to be confused with the Bellevue distillery in Marie Galante. Itâs aged for 23 years, of which 6 years is made in the tropics and the rest continentally whereafter itâs bottled in 249 bottles at 53,9%. Itâs not clear if the distillate is a blend of rum made from cane juice and molasses, but I believe so cause thereâs lots of rum from this distillery that is. Anyway Iâm pretty sure that its not an Agricole. Overall an round and elegant rum that have great aromas, and thatâs in opposite to edition 2 lives up to the aromas in its taste."
"16.05.2023 Normally I don't do tastings during the week because I have to go to work pretty early the next day. This blind tasting just stating "Colours of Rum" just tickled my brain to say "book and participate" and I didn't regret it. It wasn't only a great experience, but we had a blast of an evening with many new faces around the table. The price matches what you get with this release. Pretty fresh profile with nice fruit and floral notes. I really like the smoky touch to the nose and finish. The palate is medium dry and oily with good balance between ABV and wood. The finish is very long and warm/spicy. Very nice curtains in the glass."
"No2âs nose is a bit more open and vibrant vs. No3. On the palate I prefer No2 with a bit more fruits while No3 presents itself more dark and woody."
