Got a sample of this Foursquare rum for free from RumX. It’s a mix of column and pot still distilled rum aged for 11 years in an ex-bourbon cask, 5 years in the tropics and 6 years continentally whereafter it’s bottled in 264 bottles at 59,3%. Overall an interesting and elegant Foursquare rum that’s a little different from their own bottlings, maybe because of the continental aging.
Geröstete Kokosnuss auf einem verbrannten Bourbon Fass. Im Geschmack kommt noch eine Bounty mäßige Bananen Mischung dazu.
This rum is not bad, but not significantly more complex than the RealMcCoy12 and costs twice as much.
Qualitativ gut, aber haut nicht vom Hocker. Leider bissl wässrig im Geschmack; Typische Barbados Noten kommen durch. Eine Spur zu süß. Abgang kommt dann eine brennende Schärfe durch die so gar nicht zum Geschmack passen möchte
