7,6:There are slightly resinous, medicinal plant and powerful roasting notes on the nose, here are even some tropical fruits. The concentration of the molasses distillate offers a certain licorice, anise freshness, with almost menthol accents-like tooth paste scent, then come notes of coffee, leather and vanilla.Aeration changes the structure, the molasses has retained the licorice and sometimes medicinal notes, some caraway seeds come as well, by roasted spices, herbs. 8:On the palate rum is powerful, very round. The vegetal and resinous notes become delicious, like molasses candy with spices. Roasted nuts are tasty, with pecans leading the way, and they open the way to prunes, candied berries, apples. There are notes of leather. The caramelization aromas become more powerful in the middle and end of the mouth. 7,7:The finish is round and caramelized with intense, well-cooked and sticky molasses. Added sugar cane does well in roundedness and thickness.

Sample no.1 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2022. Wow this is a really nice rum. Sweet caramel, vanilla and raisins from my first impressions on the nose. Very warm and smooth palate with notes of dried fruits, tropical touches, spices and a hint of dark chocolate behind the sharpness of the 65% abv. Really nice and right up my alley!

Finde diesen Rum eigentlich ziemlich gut. In Nase und Gaumen ein Hauch von Karamell und Vanille. Zusätzlich noch ein leicht würziger Geschmack. Wobei ich sagen muss, daß er Leucht alkoholisch schmeckt und daher die Süße erträglich ist.

A wonderful smell of sweets and dried fruits. The ABV can definitely be felt, and is very warming. The smelling notes wonderfully match the flavor. It’s the first overproof I’ve enjoyed so far.

Good taste but a little strong in the mouth

Sweet on the palate but very spicy in the finish. Not a great tasting

Sweet, the high alcohol content goes down a little, somewhat tangy on the nose, dark caramel, fruity. Creamy in the mouth, a little tabac. Sweet spiciness, becomes sharper on the finish.

Rum Calender Day #1

An der Nase natürlich recht alkoholisch, dahinter etwas ungewöhnliche Kräuter, die mich an einen Amaro wie Cynar erinnern. Am Gaumen dann eine zuckerige Überraschung, selbst bei so vielen Prozenten. Die Amaro Assoziationen setzen sich fort, gepaart mit PX.

Tastes far too much like alcohol. It's OK but nothing more
