"I’m a big fan of Montebello from the Carrere distillery and I’ve recently bought the 2022 edition of the 3, 6 and 8yo. The 8yo is aged in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels before being reduced to 42% and bottled. Carrere/Montebello 8yo is possible to find as several vintages 1997, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007 but also editions 2021 and 2022. About the latter ones I’m unsure if it’s vintages or not. The 1997 is bottled in the Winch bottle while the other ones is bottled in the normal stubby bottle. The vintage is written on the back label on the older ones. Right now I have bottles of the 1997 and 2001 vintages together with the 2021 and 2022 editions. Overall a great Agricole as most of the rum from this brand which is one of my favorite brands."
