How does this rum taste?
Most praise the clever Bielle–Foursquare mix, soft fruits and coconut sweetness; critics find it closed, a bit young and muddled by many casks. Consensus: tasty, interesting, not mind-blowing.
If you enjoy soft Foursquare-style coconut/vanilla and want a touch of agricole freshness, this is a fun, moderately complex bridge rum without overwhelming heat or funk.
Those wanting long-aged complexity, very expressive noses, or ultra-clean single-origin rums; also not ideal if you dislike coconut-forward profiles.

Blend 1/3 bielle blanc, 2/3 Foursquare 3 years old. The blend is aged for 1 year in 7 different small wooden casks (acacia, mahogany, minuzara, amburana, French, American and black oak). Bottled at 49%. The result is an inevitably complex, yet balanced rum. Surprisingly, it smells more of bielle than Foursquare. The first impression on the nose is of wood, followed by freshness and fruit once oxidized. On the palate, it's the other way round: fruit first, then woody aromas continue through to the rather medium finish. For the price, it's a fine piece of work!
Un rhum fermé en nez et en bouche. Cette mélasse est peu expressive, porté sur la noix de coco. La finale est moyenne grâce à l’alcool mais la fin de bouche n’est pas agréable.
