Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. Here is a Clement. It's okay, nothing more. The nose is woody and spicy, also a little earthy. The palate is also predominantly woody, this rum is also roasty and has a slight coffee flavor.
A single-varietal Clément (canne bleue) aged 4 years, whose profile struggles to emerge fully. Dried fruits and spices are the big winners on a rather timid nose. Despite its renowned sugar cane, its influence is somewhat lost in the spicy meanderings of the barrel. On the palate, we find a typical rum, juggling sugar cane, more pronounced fruity notes and the ever-twirling spices. The whole is smooth but lacks complexity. The finish, of decent length, offers the same aromatic register of sweetness, with traditional notes of cane, fruit and spices. Overall, a fairly classic rum that struggles to distinguish itself from the countless vintages of rhum agricole. One might have expected much more from this cuvée. It should be noted that the various existing batches may vary in quality and aroma.
#4435 Whisky & Rom Festival 2023 28.10.2023 Notes. Very nice and well balanced release. Medium fruity and fresh with nice Agricole notes. I had a long talk with the woman representing Clement and got access to these for free where others had to pay 😊
a very good amber rum. the woodiness is well present, with a dry profile and hints of dried fruit.
