04.03.2017 Whiskymessen by whisky.dk with a few friends and also trying some whisky samples. Notes. I don't know how they pack so much power into 40% was my only note on this one 😊
Sehr ausgewogener Rum mit erkennbarer Portion Holzeinfluss, die aber nicht auf das geradezu biblische Alter für einen tropisch gelagerten Rum schliessen lässt. Die Gewürze bieten einen filigranen Counterpart, dazu etwas schwere Früchte. Angenehm süffig.
The nose is absolutely fascinating and complex with notes of red fruits, wood/barrel, chaffinch, smoke/roasted and at the end some spice, wow to smell for hours! On the palate despite the 40 degrees is warm and deep, in the foreground remain the red fruits(plum/rape/others) along with the floral with predominance of fringipane, the woody aspect is delicate and in the background, in the soft finish also some roasted and licorice notes emerge. A refined gem that in some ways is more reminiscent of the 75/76 Depaz than the more recent Flibuste. In the empty glass roasted and a little fermented. Thank you Florent for the opportunity🙏
Wunderbarer alter Agricole, mit dunklen Beerenfrüchten, viel Holz und Gewürzen sowie einer parfumartigen Note. Tief und komplex, aber auch hier hätten ein paar mehr Watt den Rum auf eine deutlich höhere Stufe gehoben. Danke an Florent für die Gelegenheit, diese flüssige Geschichtsstunde erleben zu dürfen.
