How does this rum taste?
Pre-Cask Hope (Boulders) from Renegade Distillery, Grenada, showcases a unique profile derived from unaged sugar cane juice distilled using a pot still. At 50% ABV, it exhibits intense aromas and flavors of nail polish, solvents, olive, and brine, accompanied by hints of tropical fruit. This rum embodies a complex and polarizing character, with some users appreciating its intriguing minerality and vegetal notes, while others find its strong solvent characteristics overwhelming and challenging to savor. As a result, it offers a distinctive tasting experience best suited to adventurous palates interested in experimental rum profiles.

Empty glass Polish, citrus, faint floral, olive.
Well... A difficult case here😬😬 Some guys love the rums from Renegade, but a lot of them don’t like them, because of the strange character.😆 I found this one relatively good, less mechanical workshop flavors, but more sugar cane and vegetal aromas.
Something special...
This is clearly a UFO. It's hard to rate this rum because it's clear that we're dealing with a study rather than a finished product, and at the same time it's intriguing. Solvents, brine, olive without hesitation, but also some fruit, smoke, a mineral side... an enigma!
