How does this rum taste?
Blanco Especial Extra Dry, crafted at the Brugal distillery in the Dominican Republic, offers a light and approachable profile. Distilled from molasses with a column still and aged for five years, it presents a solid option for mixing. The aromas of lemon and vanilla pave the way for a light and slightly spicy lemon, apple, and thin taste. Although it's not remarkable neat, its affordability and compatibility with mixers make it a viable choice for casual cocktails. Ideal for mojitos and daiquiris where its sharp notes shine best. This rum offers good value given its age and price point, particularly for those seeking a simple, clean spirit.

Really drinkable for a white ...
Another nice tasting finished, this time with rums from the Domenican Republic. This is definitely a mixer. Seems like they made this rum because they felt that they had to make a white rum. Bland to the point of boring.

A very light nose. Faintly lemony and waxy. Not much of note. The palate has more flavour than the nose would suggest. Lemon and fresh green apple with a hint of spices. A short finish but quite fresh. The apple lingers with the spice. Overall, it's pretty middle of the road. Nothing offensive, a bit thin. Would work mixed, if you didn't want much from the rum.
