“In the nose wonderful wood aromas paired with filigree spiciness and subtle fruit notes. Unfortunately, on the palate, the wood influence takes control, the barrel is very present, behind which fine fruitiness of the nose almost disappears and concise spicy notes and barrel tones take the reins. This definitely still has charm, but still seems to me already somewhat overlaid. For lovers of rather dry, bulky rums a good place to go, me on balance, unfortunately, on the palate aromatically a bit too narrow.”

“I clearly lack the fruity notes that I know from comparable 90s vintages. In the finish clearly astringent, reminds me almost of Clarendon, yet it seemed diluted. Long finish.”
