Samaroli T.D.L Fernandes
On the nose, lush menthol, caramel, and dark fruit mingle with tobacco and roasted oak, while the palate offers vivid mint, juicy berries, and smoky-savoury layers. A consensus standout for those seeking a classic, balanced T.D.L—community-backed and expertly bottled.
Mint and fruit dominate; smoky, elegant Trinidad character throughout.

"This T.D.L. is a good rum, but I don't like something here. The nose is okay, the palate has a lot of menthol and light fruits. The palate lacks intensity and the finish is short. For the price, a no-brainer in the opposite sense =P Second tasting: - 4 pts."
"A TDL with a very caramelized nose. Then mentholated, woody. The nose is rather closed. On the palate, it's much more expressive: very present mint, fruit, tobacco. Dark and smoky. Reminds me very much of the TDL CDI selected by Caksus. Rather long finish. Very minty. A hint of dirtiness. It's a very particular profile that won't appeal to everyone. For me, it's a very good representative of this vintage's TDLs. The oxidation of the bottle really suits it."
"I also had the Nobilis 2003 and the TDLRoni to compare with this one. Unfortunately, the latter drifts a little towards the mentholated side, which does not allow for a better rating. Those who like this profile will certainly enjoy it."
"A very fruity nose with citrus, unripe exotic fruit, carambola and flowers. On the palate, an explosion of fruit with a hint of menthol. The finish is long and elegant. A delicious rum, tasted blind, that can't deny its origin."
