Camazotz Oaxacan Rum
Most love its bright, funky, vegetal character and mixer power; critics find it too green and aggressive neat. Consensus: a distinctive, cocktail-ready Oaxacan rum that rewards adventurous palates.
Fans of clairin, Paranubes or Dakabend who enjoy funky, grassy, cane-juice rums and want a distinctive Oaxacan option, mainly for Daiquiris, Ti’ Punch and other characterful cocktails.

Rumfest 2023 tasting so notes were brief
Didn’t have time to write thoughts down but another great rum from Mexico. Like Clairin, they’re as different as the are alike, but if you like Dakabend, Paranubes, etc, you’ll love to have a bottle of this too.
Nice change of pace. Best Oaxacan I’ve found.
An interesting fusion of rum styles; it has some of the aggression on the nose of a Grenadian, or its Mexican sibling Paranubes, but with some sweetness and subtleties that reminds me of a cachaça (especially the buckwheat cereal notes on the nose).
