The Nectar Diamond The Nectar Of The Daily Drams SV 2001
Community loves the smooth coffee‑and‑chocolate Demerara profile and great nose; critics find it a bit flat and one‑dimensional. Consensus: elegant, dark, easygoing sipper rather than a complexity monster.
Fans of dark, roasted Demerara who enjoy coffee, dark chocolate and leather notes in a smooth, well‑integrated 50% rum, and who value elegance over wild funk or high complexity.

How does this rum taste?
Dark, mocha‑driven, elegant Demerara sipper
If you like Demeraras like 2001 SWR but want something softer and mocha‑driven, this is a great pick: super drinkable, big on coffee and chocolate, lighter on complexity.
Drinkers chasing extreme complexity or funky esters, and those sensitive to roasted bitterness or who dislike pronounced coffee‑cocoa profiles in their rum.

Strong notes of chocolate and coffee, fruity to it. For me the best Guyana rum so far
Incredibly present chocolate and coffee notes from start to finish. Yes, beyond that not much else, in fact not very complex, but I like the rum precisely because of this honest one-dimensionality. A rum that does not demand too much, but most will taste very good, because it seems round and you just maybe not every day rum with all sorts of rough edges can and will drink.Recommendation.
Some citrus jelly notes on the nose, which I also discovered in the Nobilis release. I get a very strong menthol note on the palate, which I couldn’t find in any other 2001 SWR yet. Very interesting twist, however overpowering some of the nice Karamell and fruit notes which are more articulated in the SBS release for example.
Welcome to the dark side of power😉 That's how I like Guyana, a wonderfully elegant sweet/spicy nose that you could sniff forever. The palate also shows its dark side again, sweet with lots of dark chocolate, on the verge of becoming bitter, lots of roasted aromas, plus leather and mocha, which is exactly how it finishes. 😍👍🏻
