How does this rum taste?
The Nectar Of The Daily Drams SV" is a 21-year-old Guyanese rum hailing from the Diamond Distillery, aged to perfection in cask strength at 50.2% ABV. Distilled in 2001 with a Coffey Still from molasses, it showcases vibrant aromas of cocoa, dried apricot, and toasted notes. Its palate presents an intense blend of chocolate, vanilla, and roasted notes, with a woody and leathery finish. User reviews highlight its complex and elegant profile; however, some find it slightly lacking in complexity. With echoes of Demerara's typical dark notes, the rum entices with its strident chocolate and coffee essence, balanced by spices and a woody backdrop. It encapsulates a rich and sophisticated indulgence for enthusiasts searching for authentic Demerara character.

I find it very similar to the many existing 2001 SWRs. Compared to the SWR, it is a bit more delicate, less molasses/malt note, less depth, less complexity. Still a good drop!
Schöne Leder, Schokoladennote Super ausgewogen und rund. Diamond von seiner schönen Seite.
Incredibly present chocolate and coffee notes from start to finish. Yes, beyond that not much else, in fact not very complex, but I like the rum precisely because of this honest one-dimensionality. A rum that does not demand too much, but most will taste very good, because it seems round and you just maybe not every day rum with all sorts of rough edges can and will drink.Recommendation.
Oh i sometimes fear those young-ish licqorice Demeraras. But this one works just fine. Potent and strong, but really keeping a complex elegancy. I really like this thingy a lot. The palate comes with more burned sugars and a lovely brandy touch.
