The "Bottled for Caksus (Bird by Noir)" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Samaroli. It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses and then aged for 25 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60%. This is a limited release and there are only 101 bottles. 16 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.9/10. "Quite solid continental Caroni, fortunately bottled at high alcohol strength. Typical Caroni profile, compared to the tropical representatives, this bottling lacks a little balance, because the heavy wood sweetness is hardly found. Who likes Caroni, is well supplied here, but to the absolute top class is definitely missing some points."
"Dégustation à l'aveugle. Bon la on ne peut pas se tromper c'est un caroni. Alors comme d'habitude pour moi c'est super bien sauf ce caoutchouc qui vient un peu gâcher tout ça et limiter le côté plaisant. Personnellement le caoutchouc c'est très bien pour les pneus de vélo mais j'aime beaucoup moins en boire 😅😄"
"Au nez on retrouve tout de suite les marqueurs habituels de chez Caroni : goudron, pneu, hydrocarbure, fruits mûrs … rapidement on a aussi un côté gourmand qui remonte ! Légèrement gras, je ressens de l'olive noire et des épices, les 60% sont bien intégrés ! En bouche le côté gras disparaît et laisse place à de la fraicheur, menthol, réglisse, cuir, feuille de tabac, poivre et une légère gourmandise pour porter le tout ! Bonne longueur en bouche avec une finale sur le bois et le pain d’épice. Un très bon Caroni avec du caractère porté subtilement par ces 60% et qui glisse tout seul ."
