How does this rum taste?
Great Whites Overproof, produced by Mid West Ghana Distillery and bottled by Compagnie des Indes, is a striking unaged rum. Distilled in 2020 from sugar cane juice using a pot still, this limited release boasts only 1000 bottles. With a powerful 50% ABV, it presents notes of fruit schnapps, sour cherry, and marzipan when nosed. On the palate, cherry, mirabelle plum, and sugarcane dominate, creating a profile reminiscent of classic European fruit brandies. Praised for its fruity nature and complexity, it is also appreciated for its suitability in cocktails like daiquiris. Its unique flavor profile makes it a standout among white rums, particularly for those seeking an atypical tasting experience.

My first thought, is the rum or kirsch. For a white nevertheless really good. Positively surprised.
Extremely horny overproof Ghana. Benchmark for me even... Could pass for me blindly as a cherry or mirabelle plum brandy. Nice marzipan/maraschino note and extremely mild! And dangerously tasty in the daiquiri
Very fruity, reminiscent of a cherry brandy. I like the nose even better than the taste. A few more percent would have stood him well.
Wow, this is a very well rounded white. Easy to drink and probably super good in a mixer. Very fruity and especially the cherry is easy to pick up. Love the marzipan in the profile.
