Sweet, fruity, some vanilla, honey, and almond notes. Medium finish with a hint of meringue. Extremely pleasant.
For a 3-year-old, it's really impressive! It's round, fresh and funky.
Neat is quite nice and gives cane sugar, butterscotch, flan, syrup, cinnamon, alcohol, black pepper, with hints of vanilla and raw almond. Appealing nose and good sipper. The wood is fairly light but occasionally tannic, especially neat. Fills the mouth nicely, even with a splash of water, which brings out a bit of cinnamon and ginger. Finish is medium-long and quite spicy. En daiquiri enhances the honey and almond but obscures a good deal of spice. I prefer it sipped. Still, it's a good value, especially if you're looking for more spirit than barrel.
First Mauritian rum and I’m thrilled! Lovely bright lemony nose with a more robust pallet of papaya, butterscotch, slight oak. As it sits - strange but welcoming peanut butter.
