How does this rum taste?
- Affordable and widely available
- Good for Cuba Libre
- Pleasant woody and vanilla hints
Ron Rumbero 7 Years is a Cuban rum distilled from molasses using column stills and aged for seven years, with a mild 38% ABV. It is primarily characterized by fruity, spicy, and sweet aroma notes, with distinct cherry and woody undertones. The taste is dominated by cherry, molasses, and cola, with a hint of overripe fruit. While some users appreciate its affordability and suitability for cocktails, others mention an artificial sweetness and cherry cola resemblance that may not appeal to everyone. "For a seven-year-old rum at €13, this is of course a good price and is actually available at any Lidl supermarket. But for cola rum (which is probably what this rum is primarily intended for) there is better. The alternative product from Aldi, for example!"

"very strange nose of hubba bubba cherry and some baking aroma... the taste is then rather sweet and artificial and reminiscent of Cherry Coke with cola crackers? in the finish again baking aroma and somehow really strange?"
