"Foursquare in pure form, by the reduction to drinking strength very accessible and with recognizable fruitiness, but on the other hand without a lasting finish. Very pleasant to drink, nice entry rum - for a higher rating I lack the complexity."
"This is now a very, very rare bottle and we got it on auction and shared it between us. The nose is very light compared to the exceptional casks of today. But it still manages to impress. I get dried fruits and toffee and a hefty varnish note. In the back i find charred oak and some wet tobacco. The palate is light and velvety with spices and dried fruit. There is some pepper and forree topped with some smoky oak. The finish is medium long and light with vanilla and oak. "
"I think the '98 vintage at Foursquare is very good. It's a shame that this one is diluted!"
"Legendary release, was happy to get it and try, but In my opinion Richard Seale presents much more higher quality in further releases, where some of them are absolutely fantastic. It’s always great to see, when quality develops by time."
