This is the 2019 black cask release from Plantation and it's also a really nice rum at the price. You can easily spot the Barbadian and Jamaican parts in this wonderful blend. The Jamaican funk is there from the nose to the palate as well as the coconut and fruity from Barbados. Overall a very good rum at the current price tag.

Rauchiges Jamaika in der Nase, Barbados hält sich relativ dezent fruchtig dahinter. Würzig holzig. Kurz recht süß im Antrunk, dann umgehend holzig und recht trocken. Sehr starker Kontrast dabei. Generell zieht sich dieser Kontrast durch den gesamten, vergleichsweise dünnen Rum. Fruchtig mit Mango, Pfirsich und Birne trifft hier auf ein ziemliches Brett an dunkler Würze, zimtiger Schärfe und sehr trockenen, holzigen Noten. Im Abgang kommt das dunkle Fass dann voll durch, gemeinsam mit etwas Funk. Hält sich aber eher in der Würze als überreifer Frucht. Ich mag die Serie, verstehe aber auch jeden den dieser Kontrast so gar nicht mag.
