Savanna Traditionel Intense 41.3 Blanc
Most enjoy its fresh banana-citrus profile and easygoing nature, critics find it bland and too light for neat sipping. Consensus: a solid, under-the-radar mixer from Savanna.

How does this rum taste?
Fresh, banana-forward white mixer
Think of this as Savanna’s easygoing cocktail base: if you enjoy light, fruity white rums in Daiquiris or Piña Coladas, this gives you that profile without overwhelming complexity.
Neat-sipping hunters of high-ester funk or big intensity, and anyone seeking a rich, complex rum with long finish or higher ABV impact.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

Now that's more interesting: we find traces of the métis but add a licorice or harlequin candy side, which is intriguing. A nice framework of fruits completes the picture, it's still light at 41 but well, rather positively surprised.
Short trip to Reunion September 2024 What is a must on Reunion? Savanna rum, of course, although this one is not top class. Fresh and fruity on the nose and palate, with citrus fruits in particular coming to the fore. On the palate, however, it is a little too alcoholic for me.
#4201 This is a rum made for mixers in my mind. Not that it cat be sipped, but for that I would have loved a higher ABV. Light profile with fruit and floral notes.
