“Blackadder finde ich immer interessant, besonders auch wegen der feinen Kohle-Sedimente aus dem Fass. Mehr Purismus geht fast nicht. Nase: braucht etwas im Glas, damit sich die anfängliche alkoholische Schärfe verliert. Dann kommt eine schöne, würzige Fruchtigkeit. Kokosmilch mit Vanille, Orange und Zitrone. Behält die ganze Zeit eine metallische Note. In der Mitte wirkt er fast etwas blumig mit deutlicher Sirup-Süße. Hinten raus wird er etwas gedeckter, karamellig, holzig mit einer leichten Rauch-Note. Der spanischer Stil ist aber unverkennbar. Gaumen: erstmal salzig-bitter metallisch-fruchtig. Zitronenschale mit Kokos. Dann etwas Sauerkirsche, bevor er schnell ins holzig-würzige geht. Jetzt auch lacht röstig-nussig, Pekanuss. Hinten wieder metallisch mit Zitronenschale. Gut.”

“This is a very nice release and it had just arrived at the shop shortly before the tasting. No need to say that a lot of them were sold during the event. Well balanced in spiciness and fruit. The wood is there but not dominant at all. The flavours get even more evident in the empty glass after half an hour. Price to quality is very good.”

“With its 63,2% alcohol, this rum gives a good kick.. But in a good way - I find it pretty harmonic, in spite of the percentage, dry and complexed. Notes of ripe fruit, bananas, pineapple, burnt sugar, citrus and a hint of glue 😳 But in a good way.. A dry and complex taste - floral honey, brown sugar, vanilla, live and a bit of tobacco. I find this rum very delicious 😋”
