Montebello Le brut de fût 8 ans is a robust agricultural rum distilled on a column still at Carrere distillery in Guadeloupe. Distilled in 2014 from sugarcane juice and aged 8 years in ex-bourbon barrels, this rum offers a balanced profile of sweetness and woodiness, with notes of sugarcane, honey, citrus, and spice. Bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 47.9%, it blends vibrant vegetal undertones with woody richness, characteristic of its aging process. While some users appreciate its sweetness and complexity, others find it lacks finesse and balance.

"Super sweet agricole. Toffee/tonka bean/dried hay/vanilla pods and biscuit dough. Reminds blind rather of reimonenq. Very delicate, elegant and neither too dry nor too sweet. Also an unusually low alcohol content for such a young brut de fut! Overall, however, really harmonious and dangerously drinkable with enough character to remain exciting."

"A good representative of Guadeloupe in cask strength. Very sweet, so pleasant and easy to sip. Personally, it's not the style of Agricole I prefer."
