How does this rum taste?
RumX members praise its honeyed sugarcane core and pastry-like spice, lifted by citrus zest. Expect aromas of sugarcane, honey and lemon peel, leading to a creamy, woody palate with anise, orange peel, vanilla and mocha. Often enjoyed after dinner or with dessert, this Guadeloupe brut de fût is a rising community favorite with 43 reviews. Some note vegetal sweetness or a bitter citrus edge, yet many find it dangerously sippable.

Des notes de fruits mûres et d’amandes ! Un rhum rond et satisfaisant ! Manque légèrement de puissance!
Pleasant nose, but too much citrus on the palate. I liked the 10-year-old much better. No finesse. Not worth the price.
Tasted at the Whisky & Rum aan Zee festival IJmuiden 2023. Tasted this next to the Bielle 2016. Very different. Creamy. More woody.
Nose still quite good, disappointing on the palate.
