How does this rum taste?
Most reviewers are impressed by the balance of tropical fruit and woodiness in this Port Mourant, with sherry and spice adding complexity. Many fans appreciate the surprisingly smooth integration of the 59% ABV, noting a gentle entry followed by a dry, woody finish with hints of marzipan and cherry. Enjoyed both neat and with a splash of water, it’s considered a standout for its refined structure and attractive price.

Technicky. Olivy. Skvely dlouhy zaver. Za 1850 czk best
This time I have to mention that I am not a complete fan of Guyana in the first place and I would like to add in the second breath that I like this one very much and I would also like to highlight the integration of alcohol into the taste. In the aroma there are floral and fruity notes along with wood. In the taste then the same, the finish is just right, a dry finish accompanied by notes of wood and earthiness. In the aroma and in the taste, the earthiness also appears when it rests for a while in the glass
A nice rum, but certainly not among the best port mourants!
This is a really nice Port Mourant especially when looking at the price tag. Fruity and light wood on the profile with a nice touch of licorice. The cask finish is present in the profile and I think it benefitted the overall result. ABV is pretty well integrated and once aerated it is barely there.
