“Another great release from Rum Nation and I think the price matches what you get. Wonderful flowery nose and the palate is nice and dry and the wood hasn't taken over the prrofile. The finish is long, dry and warm with wood and tea. The empty glass releases even more and stronger flavours.”

“Un Versailles bien élaboré avec une finition en fût de whisky bien maîtrisée. Le nez est des plus atypiques, à la fois tourné vers le whisky, les notes terreuses, iodées et mentholées, mais aussi les herbes aromatiques (thym) et les épices typiques des rhums distillés dans l’alambic Versailles (réglisse, anis) avec une pointe de fruits exotiques. C’est remarquablement bien construit, sans qu’une saveur ne supplante les autres. L’attaque en bouche est tout aussi parfumée et agréable. Le whisky tourbé rencontre le thym, le thé, le tabac, les fleurs, les agrumes et un boisé poivré étalé sur un fond de cuir. On retrouve les deux ADN et l’alchimie se fait bien. L’alcool est bien intégré. La finale, légèrement plus courte qu’espérée, est un peu plus sèche, portée par le thé, les fruits secs, le boisé épicé et le whisky fumé. Un bel exemple d’embouteillage en finition de whisky, original, plaisant et qui ravira les amateurs des deux spiritueux.”
