"I just got two bottles of this limited release and I'd say it's pretty good. I scored this one a bit lower but price to quality is very good. Lightly fruity with spices and roasted wood in near perfect harmony. A well balanced rum and I recommend leaving the empty glass for a while and then whiff it again because that is a nice experience."

"A more balanced, dry and authentic profile than Confrérie du Rhum's Batch 1. The nose is elegant and structured, with beautiful fruity notes (mango, apricots and raisins) and shimmering spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper). Woody, toasty, chocolatey and lightly caramelized notes lend smoothness and gourmandise. On the palate, the rum is more supple and varied in flavor than Batch 1, which was much more concentrated. While there's the typical woodiness and warm spices, honeyed flavors, yellow fruit, dried fruit and sugarcane counterbalance to broaden the aromatic spectrum. The alcohol is extremely well integrated. The finish is very long, with wood tannins, tropical fruit, raisins, sugarcane and spices. The warmth and spiciness come through on the finish. More open than Batch 1, but less explosive, this cuvée remains a worthy, high-quality successor to this Confrérie du Rhum special cuvee."
