No. 25 MMW

The perfect rum for a cold winter day: strong, warm and complex. The high ABV works perfectly. It needs to sit a while for all the flavours to come out.

The ABV in this rum is really well integrated and once rested all the flavours are pouring out of the glass. Considering the age I'd say the price tag is pretty good.

A very impressive nose, varied with changing aromas! The longer it lingers, the more complex!On the palate, the rum spreads heavy and thick! A pleasant spiciness spreads, followed by toasty wood! Slightly tropical flavors join in!The finish is long, woody and warm!If the alcohol was better integrated, it would have earned a few points more!

Very cool Clarendon. Bottling at 68.4% was absolutely the right decision.

Auch eine schöne Abfüllung. Bei der Nase ist zuerst der Klebstoff präsent, erinnert mich an die gute alte gelbe Uhutube aus der Grundschule. Dann kommen langsam die tropischen Früchte zum Vorschein. Wenn man ihm ein wenig Zeit gibt, kommt ein angenehmer Duft von Politur zum Vorschein. Im Mund ist er fruchtig mit Holz und ein wenig schwer. Auch hier ist der Alkohol gut integriert. Sehr guter Clarendon.

Wieder schöne tropische Noten! Gefällt mir!

Schöner, kraftvoller Clarendon. Etwas weniger Frucht und Ester als der HV MMW 2015, dafür mehr Holz und nussige Noten. Gelungen!

Zu Beginn kommt mir eine ordentliche Alkoholwolke an der Nase entgegen, das war das Zeichen, den Rum erstmal 20 Minuten zum Lüften stehen zu lassen. Beim zweiten Versuch dann tropischer Fruchtkorb, vergorene Früchte, Fruchtbonbon, Karamell, altes Fass. Am Gaumen ebenfalls tropische Früchte, insb. Maracuja, dazu malzig-röstige Noten und Kaffee.. Das Teil wärmt wirklich gut den Rachen 😉Bei einem Tropfen Wasser geht an der Nase einiges von den schönen tropischen Früchten verloren, ohne dass andere Noten hinzukommen. Insofern macht es wohl Sinn, es bei dem hohen ABV zu belassen.

Schöner Winterrum, schmeckt sicher super zu Zigarre. Starker Alkohol, der vielleicht auch 5% weniger vertragen hätte.

Alkohol anfangs sehr dominant und stechend an der Nase. Braucht definitiv seine Zeit im Glas um auch andere Aromen freizugeben, wie trop. Früchte, Pfirsich und ein Hauch Ester. Der Alkohol bleibt allerdings auch am Gaumen präsent.

Alcool veramente potente ! Non emozionante , sbilanciato al alcolico, lieve Fumee, frutta gialla , legno, lieve spezia, Bello al naso , difficile da bere , after taste lungo , intenso e preciso. Manca armonia

Malgré un taux d alcool très élevé, il est très bien intégré. Profil habituel de clarendon, mais la bouche manque de corps et de matière. Dommage de présenter un rhum avec ce taux élevé alors que la bouche ne suis pas. Un regret. J ai préféré le compagnie des indes clarendon 8 ans.
