“A big improvement from the 502 TDL from Thompson bros. A generous and inviting nose, all sweet brown sugar and dried fruits with an edge of alcohol, good and wel put together. The mouth leads on with confidence, maggi and cinnamon apple on the front, moving to a more smokey and sweet middle with a meaty bacon element. It’s spicy but not over powering and works well. The finish is more spicy, with pepper and more bacon alongside a lingering and warm finish. All in a solid and impressive TDL rum, benefiting from the tropical aging. Worth a sample if you can find one”
