I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
the Neisson with the highest ABV, which I had so far in the glass, and I must say that he comes for it on the nose surprisingly mild and balanced. The typical herbal-grassy notes of young Agricoles are present, but also something fruity (towards grape) and vanilla. On the palate, the ABV is then more noticeable, but not disturbing. In addition, coffee, burnt sugar and toasted barrel. No mega-part like the Velier 70th, but very solid, like the Vieux Bio LMDW.
On the nose it is quite restrained... I perceive a wine-like aroma. On the palate it spreads nicely creamy. A pleasant spiciness , sweetness and woodiness shows! Light fresh grass is also perceptible! The finish is almost on the Agricole side!A pretty good bottling!
For a given occasion 😉habe I have undertaken a few tastings with Agricole from Martinique, Guadeloupe and Marie Galante.Today is Neisson dran.Schwer a dieger of Neisson comparison to make out (RX 7592, 8402, 14424, 89). The 249 is more on the grassy and spicy side. Alcohol very well integrated.
Deliciously sweet and fruity.
