How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the vibrant, fruity nose—banana, pineapple and tropical funk—on this young low‑ester Hampden. At 60.5% cask strength, many report good alcohol integration and a tasty mix of tropical fruit, esters and light medicinal notes, with occasional vanilla. While some find it young with a lighter body, it’s a popular pick, also enjoyable in a Cuba Libre. Limited to 620 bottles.

Guys, sorry, but this is a mega Hampden, I'm really lost for words. So medicinal, spicy and fruity on the nose, woody, vanilla and fruity on the palate. You can hardly taste the alcohol. I'm a fan of this rum. Thanks SaibotZtar for the sample.
Meine geringen Erwartungen wurden komplett erfüllt: belangloser Low Ester Hampden, dem es an allem fehlt: kaum Komplexität, kaum Körper, kurzer Abgang. In der ersten Nase eine künstliche Zimtnote, die später verfliegt und dann der typischen Hampden-Nase Platz macht. Alkohol nicht gut eingebunden. Im Meer der Hampden Abfüllungen eine weitere Belanglosigkeit.
I am surprised! Nice tropical low Ester Hampden with good complexity, abundant fruit, light marzipan notes, rather on the astringent side.
