wieder so ein 🦄 bei dem die Erwartungen hoch sind (auch angesichts des Preises, und btw nochmals besten Dank an Tom für die FT). Zu Beginn dominiert der HD-Anteil an der Nsse, aber nach einiger Zeit im Glas kommt auch die LP-Bratensoße schön durch. Am Gaumen würde ich sogar den LP- vor den HD-Anteil stellen. Eine interessante Kombination. Ich frage mich aber auch, ob beide einzeln zu belassen nicht die bessere Wahl gewesen wäre 🤔

Zusammen mit dem RC HQNB verkostet! Dieses ist ebenfalls ein sehr guter Blend, mit einer wechselhaften Nase zwischen klassischen Hampden und LongPond Aromen! Der Gaumen ist weich und cremig und ebenfalls mit den bekannten Aromen, gleiches gilt für den Abgang! Aber im direkten Vergleich verliert er zum HQNB! Dieser ist da deutlich intensiver und Geschmacksintensiver

Die Nase wird vom Hampden dominiert, dachte ich bis ich nach 10min wieder meine Nase über das Glas gehalten habe und die typische Long Pond Umami-Note vorfand! Eine Chimäre dieser Rum! Am Gaumen das gleiche Spiel, zusätzlich erstaunlich süß und überraschend wenig holzig für das Alter. Der Rum ist schon intensiv aber kein Monstrum sondern im Gegenteil wunderbar ausgewogen mit hervorragend eingebundenem Alkohol. Der Nachklang spiegelt die Aromen gut wider ohne zu holzig zu werden. Ein eleganter Genießertropfen, der auf der Intensitätsskala nicht das Maximum erreicht, das aber auch nicht nötig hat. Würde ich mir eine Flasche kaufen? Nein, nicht zu dem Preis. Sehr schöner Blend, im direkten Vergleich mit dem 1983 RA HD HGML und dem 1990 RC HD C<>H jedoch deutlich unterlegen hinsichtlich Intensität, Komplexität und Länge des Abgangs. In meinen Augen das Geld nicht wert…
