How does this rum taste?
RumX members praise its deep, dark KFM character: woody spice and leather on the nose, unfolding to tarry, earthy cocoa with bitter orange. Full-bodied at 55.6% and 31 years, it finishes long with cacao/coffee notes. Often enjoyed neat after a rest in the glass. With 44 reviews and growing confidence, this limited 203-bottle Enmore intrigues those who appreciate complex, slightly bitter Guyana profiles.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
16.12.2022 Enjoying some samples at home with a good friend. Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, tannins, light roasted, plum, light leather, mint, spice, raisin. Palate Intense, wood, tannins, roasted, dried fruit, plum, tea, spice, anise, light leather, mint, dry. Finish Very long and warm, dry, wood, tannins, roasted, raisin, prunes, light chocolate, light mint, faint leather. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while and has nice wood in the profile.
The nose is beautiful and has everything you love in a good Guyana. The mouth is complex. The bitterness and the woodiness are present but balanced. The finish is really long on cocoa and black coffee. Tasted after a Versailles 1985 from Bristol, we find the same frame but more accomplished and expressive.
Typical KFM profile with clear bitter notes with varnish and diesel.
Some bitter orange, wood, lavender and the usual pencil note but without being too dominant. Overall a little too bitter for me, but that's more because I'm not a perfume fan.
