A solid '98 Caroni that is not quite as tarry and dirty as many others from the vintage. Certainly also suitable for Caroni newcomers. Unfortunately, the price is modernly high.
Quite an unusual 1998, i would have bet there was some sort of sweet wine cask involved, but alas, not according to the bottler. Very clean profile and pleasent nut notes plus sweet wine aromas. Quite somethin worth to try along the 1998 Caronis!
Nice & fruity, I like it a lot!
Fruits from all over the world - mango, passion fruit, grapes, raisins, plums. Oak, dark chocolate, butterscotch. Opulent and round. Superb alchohol integration. The profile is similar to some fruity TDLs that I've recently tried. But more towards heavyweight division. If only this is cheaper, I'd buy a few bottles.. Tasttoe is really master of the craft - great selections and really great staff. 94/100
