Very nice rum It's the 1st rum I had in port cask It's a nice and easy drink
The nose is pretty straight forward rum. Nothing wrong with that; Vanilla, caramel, oak, prunes in the background. Very round. There's a good amount of sweetness to the palate, balanced out by woody tannins. A warming spice towards the end. A quite spiced finished and mouth drying tannins. Dried fruits also present. Very easy going despite the quite strong tannins. Would be a great rum to showcase what a port finish can do to a rum.
