Rum Runner Worthy Park 2006
Highly praised for its lush, exotic nose and smooth, honeyed palate. An easygoing Jamaican that hides its 54.5% very well and works as a gateway into funkier Worthy Park styles.
Fans of fruity, mellow Jamaicans who want cask strength without aggression and bourbon drinkers curious about an easy, tropical Worthy Park profile.

How does this rum taste?
Soft, tropical gateway Worthy Park
If you enjoy tropical fruit and honeyed profiles but find classic Worthy Park a bit wild, this gives you the same DNA in a softer, very drinkable cask-strength package.
Those chasing heavy Jamaican funk, big oak and very long finishes, or drinkers who want an ultra-intense, high-ester Worthy Park experience.

Far from the stereotype of Jamaican rums, this Worthy Park is surprisingly smooth. The nose is made up of exotic fruits (papaya, pineapple, banana, mango), young oak and mild spices. However, it reveals a medicinal, floral and aromatic fragrance of thyme and violet that is very pleasant and surprising. The attack on the palate is very soft, suave and honeyed. The sweetness of cane, candied fruit and tropical fruit is very present on the palate. Impossible to detect the 54.5% underneath this sweetness. Chamomile and sweet spices (vanilla) complete the profile. The finish is the closest thing to Jamaican terroir, with a hint of esters and tannins hidden behind caramel, sugar, honey and candied, gourmet flavors. Exotic fruits are also present, along with spices and a less pronounced woodiness. A rather surprising and very drinkable profile, which will surely act as a gateway for neophytes to more rustic rums.
Typical Worthy Park with a nice distinct banana note. Alcohol is well delivered!
I find it very good, very pleasant, but a little "light" on the usual WP aromas. The alcohol is very well integrated, it's pleasant to drink but lacks character. now it's still a pleasant juice to drink
Dégusté au salon Rhum Fest Paris, notes partielles. Frais, fruits exotiques, épices douces, un côté médicinal sympa !
