Interesting nose, some light peat with roasted barrel influence and chocolate. Mouth is a bit non discript, with hay and almond as well as some fruity elements. The finish was short with bitter edge and barrel and dried fruit notes. A blend which I had hopes for but ended up being a bit flat
A good blend of Demerara burnt sugar/ caramel notes and some fruity notes. Wood, leather and dried fruit on the nose. Pastries, cappuccino, heat, burnt sugar, almond and sour cherries on the palate. Finish is sweet, with almonds and dried fruit. It has a good suite of flavours when looked for but some are quite faint which hampers the rating.
Colour dark gold Aroma straw, peat, alcohol, a little fruit, faint alcohol predominates Flavour Fruit, smokiness, straw, almond bitterness, followed by alcohol Finish Almond bitterness warms
Simple and sweet
