How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the funky New Yarmouth profile—tropical fruit and grilled pineapple with lots of esters and cookie dough. Marzipan, baking spices and a touch of oak show the longer cask time, while the 60.2% ABV is impressively well integrated after a short rest. Highly rated by 85 reviewers, this limited 261-bottle CDI release also shines in a Mai Tai. A confident pick for Jamaica funk fans.

Liquid heavily baked chunky banana-salty caramel-chocolate-pineapple cookies! In my opinion, the almost 3 extra years in the barrel have done the rum a lot of good. The alcohol is almost perfectly integrated. Significantly smoother and more palatable than the two predecessors from RA and in my opinion also the more intense typical cookie dough note, plus baking spices, lots of pineapple and banana bread and minimal citrus notes (abrasion) as well as light roasted aromas like from cookies that have been in the oven a little too long. Wood is clearly more intense, but not too much at any point. Probably one of the best CDI has released in a long time! And the Mai Tai also clearly tops the two RAs because the additional wood simply brings more harmony here. Simply delicious!😅👌🏼
This is a very lovely bottle for all High Ester lovers. Blindly could this be a strange Hampden too. Awesome nose with a mix of funk, esters, fruits and baking spices. All those smells are also reflected in the mouth. The alcohol is integrated very well. The finish is delicious with a lot of grilles pineapple and long.
Geniales Teil!
