“Sehr feiner, toller Agricole. Perfekt ausgewogen, getrocknete Marillen (was ich liebe), Alkohol super eingebunden. Das einzige Highlight vom Rumfestival Wien. Ausführliches Tasting folgt. Edit: Nun mal in Ruhe aus dem Sample verkostet. Tolle Nase. Keksteig, leicht säuerlich, getrocknete Marillen, Politur, Lösungsmittel und leicht Animalisch, Gewürze, vor allem etwas Lakritze und grasig/frisch. Schön ausgewogen, komplex, Alkohol gut integriert. Knusprig, warm, ganz leicht modrig im Mund. Getrocknete Früchte, Lakritze und Gras im Abgang. Super Agricole. Jetzt doch noch eine Flasche gekauft…😅”

“Bei Agricole habe ich klar Aufholbedarf. Bisher habe ich sehr wenige gefunden, die mich wirklich überzeugen. Von diesem hatte ich einiges Gutes gehört. Nase: vielversprechend komplex, würzig-holzig und zugleich sahnig-fruchtig-süß. Eine Mischung aus Quitte, Papaya und Mirabelle. Daneben Lakritz-Toffee mit Vanille und leicht ins Vinegare übergehend, mit eingelegten Peperoni und Kräutern. Dazu kommt etwas Wachs und harziges Holz. Hinten leicht getoastet. 88 Gaumen: ganz klar Agricole, aber kräftig und adstringent zunächst, geht dann von einer leichten Bitternote über salzig und Holzsäure sowie Pfeffer zum grünen, grasigen Zuckerrohr. Hat nen leichten Nelkengeschmack mit Vanille. Beim zweiten Schluck finde ich auch Menthol und Anis. Grasig und käuterig im Abgang. 86 59,7% tun dem echt gut!”

“Round is often synonymous with boring in the ears of the rumnerd. One can learn from the Cognac that it does not have to be so.This rum from the Cognac barrel, enters the proof of the rum category.The nose is great class, a wonderful harmony of dry grass, cider (fermented apple), dried apricots and the spicy influence from the wood.In the mouth it is more powerful - the almost 60% but lacy integrated. From the wider becomes an apple pie of must, overripe, spicy apples (Topaz, my favorite!), with nuts or sesame seeds. A touch of salty licorice completes the picture. The hay uhd the wood linger and set the stage for the great fruit. The finish is as round as the rest of the rum, perfectly integrated tannins linger in the mouth for a long time.I'm so glad I bought another bottle - was very unsure because my sample on the GRF was heavily distorted by the Dillon Bdc I had in the glass beforeQ. Great rum.”

“The Rumperator aka Dirk Becker has once again demonstrated a fine nose. What strikes me first is the fruitiness. Yellow fruits such as mirabelle and physalis dominate. Behind that, a pleasant green floral freshness (not grassy at all, more towards geranium), plus wood and caramel. On the palate come vegetal notes, licorice and somehow a soft fruit brandy. Finishes with burnt sugar, toasty aromas and vegetal notes. I like it well!”

“It welcomes you with a very voluminous scent, inviting. It smells of red fruits, the plum is very dominant. Further, floral, woody and vanilla notes also appear. The taste is grassy. Licorice, cinnamon, honey and pepper can be tasted. The finish is long and is accompanied by leather, licorice,earthy and floral notes. The alcohol is also noticeable. It is a successful bottling 🥃.”
