"The nose is very good for a starter rum. Oak, tobacco, fruit and then polish. Very well balanced. In the mouth then disappointment. Woody, one dimensional and thin. The alcohol stings. As I said, a good introduction to unsweetened rum."
"Good Mount Gay, where you can clearly taste the storage in bourbon barrels. In its complexity not as good as the big brother XO, but still clearly one of the better rums."
"In the smell very nice. Very strongly reminiscent of Spanish style. Then, unfortunately, thin on the palate. Hardly any complexity. Only light caramel vanilla tones with strong wood"
"After years, I remember that I didn't like it as much back then as I do today. Strong vanilla, initial roasted aromas and some fruit on the nose. On the palate, there are distinctive roasted and flamed wood aromas. Not usually my cup of tea, but very harmonious here. For sipping and mixing. . 04.2024 I find my previous impression confirmed. However, I wouldn't buy it again today."
