Normally i‘m not a huge fan of belize, but this one is really special. The DOK finish brings in a fantastic note and is a good mix with the typical fruity notes known from Belize. Update: I took home a bottle, to share it with some friends. The nose is still like on the grf, but in mouth it‘s has less impact of the DOK finish. It‘s a pity… The finish is very delicious and a mix of various oak barrel notes paired with fruits and licorice. It last very long and leave an astringend feeling on the tongue. All in all it‘s an amazing Belize, for me a nice daily sipper 🤪🤪

Classic Belize representative supplemented by a slight lactic acid aroma, which evokes associations with creme brûlée for me. Could this come from the DOK finish? If so, the experiment would have succeeded at this point at the latest, because this note brings a refreshing innovation to the otherwise often little varied profile of the Travellers bottlings - which is in no way to deny the basic quality, but merely to address the somewhat limited flavor variability and diversity.

Interessanter Belize. Finde den Alkohol nicht perfekt integriert oder meine Erwartungshaltung an einen Belize ist etwas zu entspannt. Das DOK Finish macht ihn auf jeden Fall einzigartig. Erinnert mich heute sehr an einen Foursquare.

Krass, wie stark das DOK-Finish in der Nase wirkt. Hier also ein gealterter Belize, der gedeckte Frucht und vor allem Schokolade und Kakao sowie Eiche und eine leichte Rauch-Note liefert und dann 1 Monat intensiv-Reifung im intensiv-HD, die Ester und säuerliche Ananas-Aromen mitbringt. Die %% und die Ester stechen im ersten Moment etwas. Diese und die sauren Aromen von Ananas, Limette, Sauerkirsche und grünem Apfel gehen dann in die milderen Holz und Schoko-Armonen über. Gaumen: auch hier hat das DOK-Finish extremen Einfluss. Kommt trocken und adstringent, bitter und salzig. Geht fast Richtung Jod. Hat dann deutlich Säure von Limette und den Ester. Jetzt gewinnen auch etwas Lakritz, Tabak und Rauch Oberhand. Tabak, Holz, Kakao sowie leichte Ester im Abgang. Ein interessanter Versuch…

Die Nase ist HD. Der Abgang Belize. Im Geschmack wandern die Noten nach Lust und Laune hin und her. Auf der einen Seite ein sehr leckerer Rum, auf der andern Seite macht das Finish hier sehr viel mit dem Rum besonders im oberen Bereich was man mögen kann oder auch nicht.

Tasted at the 11th GRF: Good, but nothing more. Unlike many other Belizes quite alcoholic, the over 65% are very present. Since I like another Belize from the recent past significantly better, which (mind you, at the time) were also available for somewhat smaller money.

A Belize experiment! According to Dirk Becker for about 4 weeks in a freshly emptied Hampden DOK barrel gefinished!Amazing what this short finish has done to the Belize...the sweetish typical Belize flavors are barely perceptible on the nose, on the palate is more Hampden than Belize present and only in the finish comes through late again the Belize!Somehow the whole thing is for me a way between two worlds, which unfortunately does not pick me up in this case!

Dieser Rum ist so lecker, ich hätte am liebsten meinen Keller voll damit. Das DOK-Finish hat aus etwas vermutlich eher gewöhnlichem etwas richtig geiles gemacht. Diese alkoholische Creme-Brüle-Note ist der Wahnsinn! Am liebsten hätte ich meinen ganzen Keller voll mit diesem Rum - egal ob im Eistee, in Cocktails oder einfach so ist der mega ... nur leider auch nicht billig ... das Preisschild ist wohl auch der Anlass, warum der Rum noch verfügbar ist - aber soooo lecker !

Ein guter trockener Rum mit schöner Würze. Das DOK Fass ist für mich eher dezent... vielleicht Tagesform. Aber der Fasseinfluss ist sehr gut. Gefällt mir. Der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Sollte mindestens 30min atmen.

Sensationelle Nase. Besser als beim Vater, weil nicht so "over the top" wie im Hampden. Im Abgang auch nicht enttäuschend. Für seine hohe Fassstärke mMn überhaupt nicht alkoholisch. Finde außerdem gut dass er nicht sofort ausverkauft war. Mehr oder weniger auch in Verbindung mit dem Preis und der guten Verfügbarkeit ein perfekter Rum für anspruchsvolle Aficionados.
