Der Ruby Port könnte geschmacklich für mich etwas dominanter sein, und die zusätzliche Zuckerung hätte ich lieber sein gelassen. Hatte mir hier eher eine Art Rum Port Manhattan vorgestellt. Insgesamt mir etwas zu holzig. Solider Rum aber hätte etwas mehr Potential gehabt.

Nach dem ersten Tasting nicht mein Fall… Die Nase macht noch Hoffnungen, angenehme Frucht gepaart mit süßlichen Gewürzen. Im Mund kommt er mir gerade unter Berücksichtigung der 11,2g Zucker recht alkoholisch vor. Sonst ist er eher flach und einfach nur würzig.

Die Nase ist noch ganz in Ordnung dann aromatisch unerwartet dünn am Gaumen und alkoholisch, trotz Süssung. Die Gewürze dominieren.

Markanter Port, dabei leider etwas dünn. Ich hatte mehr Süße erwartet und bin in dem Punkt positiv überrascht. Zu alkoholisch im Mund. Assoziationen zu Glühwein oder Rooibostee. Fühlt sich an als wolle er in Richtung Vermouth laufen, aber sich nicht so recht trauen. Da könnte noch mehr gehen.
