This is a very well balanced rum and I'd say it could be a good beginners rum. Would have loved a higher ABV which I talked about with the representative. Fruity and fresh with spice and wood and a light touch of chocolate. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

Wohl wahr: No Bullshit. Toller Rum. Wagemut steht für mich jetzt an meiner Favoritenliste deutscher Rums an Nr. 1 Freue mich schon auf die nächsten Editionen

Nase: Eher zurückhaltend, sehr rund/weich, Alkohol sticht nicht. Orange bzw Orangeat wie in einem weihnachtlichen Kuchen, etwas Vanille und andere nicht identifizierbare Gewürze, minimale Holznoten. Mund: unglaublich weiches, cremiges Mundgefühl, Alkohol kaum spürbar trotz erhöhter Alkoholstärke, Gewürze, Holz, Vanille dominieren. Alkohol erst beim Herunterschlucken spürbar und etwas kribbelnd. Abgang: Höchstens mittellang, könnte gern etwas kräftiger sein. Hier fehlt mir etwas der Kick. Insgesamt ein schöner, gut gemachter Rum, der nicht überfordert und leicht zugänglich ist. Sanfter Einstieg in die Foursquare Welt.

Nase: Ein weicher Duft streichelt die Nase. Das Sherryfass ist nicht zu aufdringlich aber präsent. Er erinnert an den Wagemut PX, hebt sich dennoch davon ab. Noten von Vanille, Holz, trockenen Früchten und natürlich Sherry. Auf der Zunge ist er angenehm, die 43.8%vol bemerkt man kaum. Der 18 jährige FOURSQUARE Rum erweist sich als weiche und Runde Basis. Die Lagerung im Sherryfass gibt diesem Rum eine besondere, angenehmer Note. Nachklang: Im Abgang ist er eher trocken aber nicht zu kurz. Hinten am Gaumen bleibt für einen kurzen Moment die Erinnerung an den weichen, runden Geschmack, die langsam verblasst. In keinem Moment ist dieser gelungene Rum auch nur annähernd sprittig oder scharf. Ein sehr angenehmer Gesamteindruck eines Genießerrums, für einen gemütlichen Abend.
