Rhum J.M La Dame Jeanne Numéro 1
Complex, balanced agricole with wood, fruit, and subtle spice.
Community notes agree on a well‑balanced agricole, marked by vanilla, wood, and candied fruits. Some find the price steep or miss standout character, but overall, it’s a favorite for classic Martinique tasting—one to try if you like integrated oak and spice.

How does this rum taste?
La Dame Jeanne Numéro 1 from Rhum J.M gets noticed for its balanced mix of vanilla, woody dryness, and a core of candied or dried fruits, plus a subtle waft of spice or tobacco. The nose draws in with “fruchtig, holzig, nussig, kandierte Früchte” (@Korkennase🥃), and many find the palate matches the aroma, sometimes with a bit more edge: “The alcohol is a little noticeable, but well balanced” (@Galli33). Comments mention complexity, integration of oak, and definite agricole character, while sweetness stays dialed down. A few note extra coconut or grassy turns, while others debate the price-to-value ratio, but most call it “well balanced” or “harmonious”.

The best J.M I‘ve tried so far 🥹😍. Nose: Delicious agricole notes, sugarcane, vanilla, fruits, orange peel, caramel, dark chocolate, cinnamon, hazelnut, floral notes, tobacco Mouth: Balanced, dry, delicious, full bodied, intense, agricole, vanilla, salty, woody, oak, sugarcane, creme brulee Finish: Long, delicious, sugarcane, roasted, caramel, grass, tobacco The alcohol is a little noticeable, but well balanced with the rum itself and gives it a nice roundness.🤤🤤
A little disappointed by the tasting of this vial before opening the expensive bottle. The nose is very caramel-like, even toffee! Then vanilla, but with a hint of varnish. The palate is quite bitter, with a strong, elusive finish. A little taste of whisky remains. Not a fan!
Soft and mild in taste - long and soft in the end - fruity and spicy notes in harmony - What not to like 🥳
