In my opinion Dutch best rum distillery. The know what they're doing. Wild yeast. Long fermentation. No sugar. And they love their funk: not unlike Jamaican distillates. This one has something Guyanese too: Anise/Port Mourantish. The took it easy on the wood/cask. A "light" influence. Relatively young in taste, a bit like aged Clairins in vibe (does that make sense?). Def made to make the spirit shine instead of the wood. Could do with a bit more wood though but it's pretty nice. A bit too funky for the unrehearsed rum lovers though.
