"NOSE: slightly musky, perfumed, some nice deep dry oak. PALATE: a plethora of rich spices. Sandalwood, demerara sugar, rich simple syrup, pear. FINISH: butter-sweet tannins lay on your tongue, while rich spices dance to the roof of your palate. Black pepper, burnt oak, pine pitch. A bit raw on the throat. OVERALL: this pour is really all about the oak. Not getting much character from the base spirit. That said, if you enjoy rich spice character & oak tannins, this may appeal to you. For my money, it’s just too oak-dominant. RATING: 68/100"
