"NOSE: overripe fruits, coconut milk, warm sawn oak, pastry crust, fungus, mild sandalwood. PALATE: sweet spice cake with coconut-cream cheese frosting, cardamon, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, overripe pineapple, flamed bitter orange peel. FINISH: dark pastry crust, sweet chamomile, raisins, seasoned firewood, copper, oak tannins… then dominated by dry oak. OVERALL: another oak-dominated barrel from Gregarious Grump. Loads of bitter oak tannins & rich spice, but somewhat balanced by nice sweet overripe tropical fruit & floral notes. The proof is high, and it won’t let you forget it. Water brings out some cigar notes, and a bit of dark cherry. These GG really feel like they were selected for the bourbon lover. RATING: 76/100"
