DDL Plantation One-Time Limited Edition 2007

When looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money when you buy this bottle. It's a bit different from the regulate Guyana in a good way. I liked it enough to order a few bottles. The nose is lightly fruity with vanilla, nuts and cocoa as well as light flavors of pastry. The palate is sweet and fruity with molasses, floral, nuts and vanilla as well as tobacco notes. The finish is medium long and warm with spices, licorice and chocolate. Leave the empty glass for a few hours and whif it again 😊

Had somehow hoped this rum would be a worthy Guyana counterpart to the outstanding OTL from Trinidad (RX9683), but was quite disappointed. 🙄 Find this rum just thin and flat and one-dimensional. Too bad. 🥴After all, the PLV is (was) still quite ok and the rum will find its lovers (he already has).

Solid rum, it lacks complexity but the PLV is very good. An easy sipper.

On the nose very spicy paired with a few citrus and a sweetish coconut note.On the palate a nice wide round of spicy, fruity and floral notes, tobacco stands out. In Abgabg it turns towards licorice.Does not really convince me at the price. Just compared to Bellamy's Guyana Diamond 2012 and the always good Rum Nation Solera No. 14 bottlings weakening this Plantation.

I don't have much experience with Guyana rums, but this one is different from what I've tasted before. It's less exuberant. The nose is quite pleasant, with hints of choco/wood/raisin. The palate is a bit confusing, starting with warm choco/woody notes, then quickly moving into a bitter phase before returning to dried fruit. I imagine the original juice to be quite biting, which the cognac cask must have rounded off nicely.

A soft, round and pastry nose. The mouth mixes a very floral aspect with the sweetness of caramel. It's good but lacks character.

Molasses, chocolate, dark wood. Pleasant daily sipper that does not overwhelm you.

The nose is dominated by citrus fruits on the palate shows the taste of berries. Nice and easy to drink, just no Guyana -typical profile.

Balanced and harmonious. Intense wood tones. Above all, it is very nice that it has no dosage. I find the 51 percent very cleanly integrated

Price to quality is decent with this bottle. I find this rum to have a nose of almonds and vanilla, and in the notes I found dried fruits, berries and cocoa. I expected a bit more flavor and deeper taste

Petite dégustation au calme chez le copain Guigui. Au nez c’est plaisant avec pas mal de coco vanille et chocolat, la bouche suit avec quelques épices en plus. La finalement également, moyennement longue. Très sympa.

Superb guyana rom from plantation! Chocolate on the noise immediately, but in the glass it develop to More funky fruity smell. The taste have the same development. Almost 9/10 for my taste.
