"On the nose I get lots of sweetness: brown sugar, baking spice, crème brûlée, raisin, some oak and chocolate. In the palate it’s a little more straightforward - caramel, raisin, oak - generally sweet, smooth and creamy. Definitely wouldn’t be surprised if there was some doing but it could really go either way. This is a good version of a low ABV, ‘Spanish style’ rum. Unfortunately, this isn’t my style, but for many this would be the pinnacle. For someone that wants the smooth, easy drinking rum with dessert-like flavors, this could be a 9. For me, it’s pleasant but uninteresting and overpriced."
