“Ein Besuch der Takamaka-Destillerie lohnt sich! Während der Pandemie hat sich die Destillerie neben ihrer qualitativ hochwertigerem Pot-Still aus frischem Zuckerrohrsaft von den Seychellen in sehr kleinen Mengen ein zweites Standbein durch eine dreifach Column-Still aufgebaut, die mit Molasse aus dem Ausland (Mauritius) arbeitet. Damit kann kontinuierlich in großen Mengen produziert werden, wobei hiermit das Cocktail- and Anfängersegment bedient wird. Extra Noir stammt jedoch aus dem Mittelsegment, da er auch Potstillanteile und eine etwas aufwändigere Lagerung als die des unteren Segments besitzt. Allerdings empfinde ich die verbrannten Aromen im Mund und Abgang als zu dominant und scharf. Leider gab es neben dem Zepis Kreol keine weiteren Rums aus diesem Segment zur Verkostung.”
